Frequently Asked Questions
Is FirstHello a Care Agency?
No, FirstHello has been designed as the platform that will bring together families and independent carers, and support them to build trusted relationships. FirstHello will have many features and benefits for both families and carers, however it is not a regulated care agency. Independent carers remain in charge of ensuring their care is in line with regulatory standards, but they will have handy tools and links on the platform to enable and support them on their journey.
2. Is It free to join the waiting list?
Yes, it is completely free to join the waiting lists for both families and carers. As we are currently in the research stage, this is to enable us to gain an understanding of how beneficial this platform will be for both families and carers. Once we have received a certain amount of individuals on each waiting list, we will be looking at the official launch. It is at this point that any fee's will be explained prior to signing up for the platform. Any fee's have been kept to an absolute minimum.
3. When will the platform launch?
As mentioned above, we are still in our research stage which is why we are asking anyone that is interested in our platform joins our waiting list. Once we have gathered the interest that we hope too, we will then be announcing our official launch. We truly hope this wont be too long!
4. How are carers verified?
Upon officially signing up to the platform (once launched), there will be a certain criteria for carers. This will include uploading evidence of compulsory requirements including; DBS certificate, References, ID and Training certificates. These will be ongoing requirement so when documentation is expiring, they will be required to gain new certification and upload this to the platform.
